-The tournament director reserves the right to move, deny or accept any team regardless of their DUPR
-Players may not possess more than one DUPR account - if found they may be permanently banned from The Dink Series and reported to several governing bodies across Australia.
-Players found to have deliberately misrepresented their level may be disqualified or made ineligible for prizes. This particularly applies to the <3.00 category where unranked players must not have a higher self-determined level.
-Joining without respect to the above will result in no refund. Please check with the tournament director before joining if you are unsure.
-DUPR is recorded at the date disclosed on the tournament listing.
-This is within reason, if you are clearly at a higher level than the category - it is your responsibility to let us know.
-If you are reported on the day by opponents or our DUPR assessors or the tournament director for being significantly better than the given category (e.g 3.4 in the <3.0 division in ability), the tournament director reserves the right to ask you to stop playing at any time and report you to all pickleball organisations across Australia.
-There are no refunds available if your DUPR exceeds the division maximum after the date at which refunds are no longer available - this will be displayed on pickeball.com under the “refund policy”. Therefore, if you are playing in the week prior to this tournament, or you are expecting a significant increase in the week prior to your division, we recommend that you "play up" to prevent being excluded from the tournament without refund. If there is an available change into another category, we will try our best to facilitate it. However, we have fixed pools so there is no guarantee.
-The DUPR requirements apply to BOTH players

A Note on DUPR & Fairness

We recognise that DUPR is not a perfect system. Ratings can be incomplete, inaccurate, or slow to reflect improvement. While we’ve built safeguards into our format, there will always be edge cases.

Our intention is never to exclude, but to create the fairest environment possible for the majority of players. In some cases, this may mean restricting entry or moving teams between divisions.

We appreciate your understanding — and if you feel unfairly impacted, we genuinely apologise and encourage you to reach out. We’re always refining the system to make it better for everyone

IMPORTANT: DUPR RATINGS & SANDBAGGING

Players without a reliable DUPR rating must accurately assess their playing ability and enter the appropriate division. Deliberately, or accidentally, entering a lower division (sandbagging) is strictly prohibited.

Players entering the Under 2.99 division: A genuine sub-3.0 player typically has limited consistency, shorter rallies, developing court positioning and difficulty executing controlled dinks, drops and volleys. Players who consistently sustain longer rallies, execute controlled third-shot drops, demonstrate effective court positioning and handle moderate-paced volleys may be above this level.

DUPR assessors may be present during the tournament. Players assessed as competing below their actual ability may be immediately disqualified and required to stop playing, without eligibility for a refund. Serious or deliberate breaches may also be reported to relevant governing bodies.
